HRS Avocat
A personal identity for international lawyer Honoré Romain Soglo. The HRS monogram combines structured rigour, a more human handwritten gesture and a subtle reference to Africa without relying on generic legal symbols.
The brief
Create a personal identity expressing legal rigour, international expertise and the founder’s ability to listen and understand his clients.
The intention
Move away from scales, columns and laurel leaves to represent not justice itself, but Honoré Romain Soglo’s rigorous and deeply human way of practising law.
The visual response
An HRS monogram balancing geometry and handwriting, with a partial outline of Africa acting as an anchor rather than a boundary.
The outcome
A restrained, contemporary signature that inspires confidence without feeling distant and conveys international authority without repeating the sector’s visual clichés.
- Strategic research
- Bespoke monogram
- Black and gold palette
- Stationery principles
- Production files

Authority without distance
Applied to textured black stock with a gold finish, the monogram preserves the finesse of the handwritten S and the stability of its geometric construction. The stationery feels restrained and authoritative while retaining the personal dimension at the heart of the identity.
Client testimonial
“The monogram expresses my positioning with great accuracy: rigorous, international and personal. Ivan’s work brought several dimensions of my career together in one simple, memorable mark.”
